Francisco is a misunderstood prospect. He doesn't walk, a real problem. He makes lots of errors at third, a real problem.
But for a power hitter, he seems to make good contact especially with men on base. He also has a high RBI total every year. And lots of extra base hits.
His strikeout numbers are not low, but for a power hitter they are pretty reasonable.
This is why I've always supported him on RedsZone. Like you say, he has a knack.
He's probably a year younger than his level indicates. My guess is he stays at AA next year and tries to show some polish and advancement.
I still consider him a top ten Reds prospect, although to read RedsZone you would think he's just a scrub.
Potential is the big deal with Fransisco. He has such amazing power but power will only get you so far. He could turn into a very good player or he could turn into the pitching version of Daniel Cabrera.
