Fielding percentage hardly guages defensive value.
While Dorn plays everything that he gets to fairly well, his speed prevents him from getting to too many balls. He wouldn't be a bad play in our small park but at a spacious field he would be below average. I would like to see him get more reps at 1B as he is destined to be a platoon player and being able to backup at 1B would enhance his value greatly. While I think he can be a productive player, I can hardly agree that he is an average major league left fielder when he moves like Sean Casey.
