We get sent home early to beat bad weather occasionally, but in terms of actually canceling work, it's never happened in the 3+ years I've been here. Either be here, or be willing to take a vacation day.
Or be willing to make the time up...
Me and another co-worker, who also lives about 30 miles away, left at 2:30pm yesterday. That morning I got to work at 7:30am, took a lunch so I only worked 6 hours. So it will be two more 7:30am arrivals (w/o taking a lunch today), then Thursday and Friday will be regular days. Gotta do what you have to do to get to 40 hours!
BTW, IIRC, Hamilton County has gone to Level 3 once since I've been working there. It was the same day that Butler County went to Level 3 as well. Didn't make any difference to me - I left home early - so I was already at work when it was called.
