He is in a word...terrible. It's obvious he doesn't know a damn thing about baseball. And I don't just mean the Saber vs. Joe Morgan kind of know. I mean the basic rules, like three strikes and 4 balls kind of stuff. I swear I heard him say a 3-3 count earlier this year.

Before he got the job the Reds should've made him take a Scantron test with baseball questions.

How many innings are in a game? How many outs are in an inning? And the like.

If they did Hoard would've gotten the job.

lol I heard him say a 2-3 count before.. It may have been even occurred during a Luis Pujols at-bat, but I'm not sure.
