Between Leake and Strasburg, I think some people have a funny perspective on how quickly young pitchers should advance. The book on Chapman when we signed him was that he was inconsistent mechanically, struggled with his control from time to time and needed to refine his secondary pitches. None of this should be news.
Let's at least give the kid a year in the minors before we try and take him out of the rotation.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
