If you take a starter and turn him to a reliever, yes, the numbers are something like that. But terms of current performance, there's less of a discrepency. The short version being that a lot of relievers are relievers not because they don't have the stamina to go 6 innings but because they can't pitch well enough to last 6 innings.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
