Leake was never on his game last night, but our defense definitely wasn't his friend. The entire team looked hungover from the loss the night before.
Cueto struggled to get through a couple innings today, but still pitched shutout innings against an Astros offense that's been hot in April. Yes, Cueto was helped by a couple web gems (Cozart and Rolen -- and Bruce's arm), but he was dealing the last couple innings he pitched. He looked like he could finish the game, even if it meant throwing 150 pitches.
Overall, we looked way better today, but I don't see how anyone could compare Leake's game last night to Cueto's today. Just my opinion.
