routinely puts his fastest low OBP players at the top of the order. Most people with half a brain would realize that shortstops and center fielders, on average, are not the best hitters on the team and in most cases should not bat 1-2. Not Dusty. He tries every year to make his "lead with speed" approach work, but it rarely does. The failure this year is nothing new or unusual. He may be forced to give it up at some point and the team falls out of contention, but, oh well, he can always try the same thing again next year.
