I'd kill to follow the Reds out west for a week. Never been to California.
When has the West Coast trip
not been difficult for the Reds? It's easily our toughest stretch of games and will virtually always be. It couldn't have happened at a better time, allowing the team 4 days to get their minds right for a grueling and exciting 2nd half of the season. Which by the way starts off against the surging Cardinals. It's a guarantee I'll be there two nights to see that. Look for the guy with the really huge fake moustache.
We don't play Pittsburgh for a month. Who knows what the circumstances will be come that time.
Let's focus on what we can control. OK, what the boys in Red can control...
The Red hot Mat Latos is pitching tonight in his old home field. (comfort zone??) The fact that it's him vs Volquez is pretty amazing, especially after last night's game being against Harang. We're in a good position to sweep this series or take 3 of 4. And if we don't, that's ok.
