Stubbs has gotten yet another chance and failed. His perceived D asset cannot possibly make up for one of the worst bats in the league. Put Heisey out there and move on is a start to getting this stifled offense moving.
But of course, in the whimsical nature of baseball's randomness, now BP cannot get on base in the leadoff spot. It is cursed.
You would think the law of averages with catch up to them and they would bust out with at least an 8 run game. Good grief....even really bad hitting teams bust out every once in awhile... 5 runs is a bust out offensive explosion for this team. It's the trade off it seems for having very good pitching and defense.
