I don't see Josh Hamilton reciecing anything more than 4 years. He'll be 32 next season and unless the yankees sign him, he will be playing in a park that is alot harder for lefties to hit homeruns in.
Not to mention his batting average has gone down for the last two seasons. He is also still a recovering addict of cocaine which means he is susceptible to relapses, and because of his substance his abuse his body will start breaking down before most people's do.
Furthermore, since he came up with the reds in '07 he has only played 140 games in a season twice. And another indicator that his overall production may be going down is the fact that he struck out over 160 times this past season. Anyone who offers him a deal of longer than 4 years and 80mil (heavily front loaded) is absolutely out of their mind.
