Re: Are the Reds done dealing?
I'm someone who fretted about the effectiveness of the bullpen all of last year, and to an extent I stand by it. Most relievers are so up and down from year to year, I'd like for the Reds to have a few more options than Arredondo/Ondrusek/Simon/injured Masset. Broxton, Marshall, Hoover, and LeCure are the only locks in my mind, and even then Hoover still only has 28 major league innings under his belt.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."
