But who got hurt and what law got broken? Nobody got killed and nobody got robbed (I think). The media is just mad because they got totally duped so now they are going to pile on like you've never seen before.
But its just a tawdry story that doesn't affect any of us, really. People lied and did stupid things. Gosh, whoda thunk it? Besides all the wasted time at the water cooler talking about this, that is.

I fall on both sides of the fence. This story doesn't effect me, doesn't hurt anybody, doesn't really do anything. A LB for ND, a guy who finished 2nd in the Heisman made up a girlfriend and told anyone who would listen about her.
That said the story was forced down any sports fan for the better half a 3 months. The media, both local and national, forced this story down our throats about the character of this guy. What he was going through and what kind of season he was having. For those who enjoy college football and follow the Heisman were sold a bill of goods by Manti. The story was shoved down college football's throats only to end up being made up.
