I have a hard time getting behind the WBC when Americans are playing against Americans but playing for different teams. I understand that if you had more stringent guidelines would make it difficult fielding some teams, but I would rather it be a more true competition.
I'm not crazy about being able to switch teams, but even international soccer and basketball allow some of this players from one country to play for another so long as there is some connection to the "home" country.
The difference being that because the international games are so much more meaningful, they can enforce the rules requiring the players to stay on the same "country" from one championship to another.
When people say that I donít know what Iím talking about when it comes to sports or writing, I think: Man, you should see me in the rest of my life.
