How did the Cubs not already hold this record:
A “wild” game Sunday at Wrigley Field that saw Cubs pitchers throw five wild pitches in one inning and balk in the winning run in the 10th ended in a 10-7 victory for the San Francisco Giants. The five wild pitches in one inning tied a Major League record owned by two pitchers, most recently Rick Ankiel in 2000.
