Re: Minor-League Player of the Day
Wednesday, 5-1: Junior Arias, Dayton. The newly minted center fielder went 3-5 with a 3B and HR in the Dragons' 11-7 victory. It was his second MiLPOD selection.
And Chad Rogers wuz robbed. Sharky continues to put up dynamite numbers: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 7 K. It was his season high in strikeouts. So far this year, the worst of Rogers' lines has been his first: 5 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K. In his five starts, he has given up as many as five hits only once; and that was over seven innings. The guy's got it going on.
Pat Doyle also had a nice outing in relief for Bakersfield: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K.
