Ex a 200/200/ 500/ 700 guy would be an ISO 300 but a 300/400/500/900 guy would only be an ISO of 200. I assume Dunn and Wily Mo had a much higher ISO than Votto. Is it a stat simply to be used in conjunction with other numbers?
It basically just lets you know how often a players hit goes for extra bases. Really doesn't carry much weight on its own.
