If you think about it, there are several legit similarities.
Both highly regarded "baseball athletes" coming out of HS, both turned down large offers to go to major college programs. Both played well enough in college to maintain prospect status, although their college numbers do not overwhelm. Both are toolsy RH-hitting outfielders with swings that give scouts a little pause.
Saying that one is reminiscent of the other is not saying they are carbon copies.
Stubbs had a big advantage in speed. Stubbs had a big advantage in defense. Wilson has a big advantage in power potential (while Stubbs had good power potential, it was mostly tied to the fact that he was a center fielder, where most guys don't have any home run power). There are similar in that both were considered good athletes overall and there are some questions that they would both struggle to hit for average. But you could say that about tons of guys.
