If we haven't learned anything by now, we should know that GM's don't look at contract/player value the way we do. Cano: He's going to retire a Yankee. They'll give him 19 mill a year for the next 8 years. He's not a Pujols in terms of skill and not Jeter in terms of allure so he wont be ridiculously overpaid.
Ellsbury: 6 years at 14.5 per.
Choo: There is no way he will get contract under 15 per. He has been offensively superior to even Cano in his career and his agent is Boras.
Cano: No way he will get contract under 20 million a year
Ellsbury: His agent is also Boras. Even if it's not, that doesn't make sense at all.
