IIRC, Lebron and Akron St. Vincent did the same loading up the schedule thing...

From what I recall, NCH didn't get a whole lot of competition from their league. Regularly beating teams by 60 points isn't good for either team. This just isn't a Div III team. The only game they lost was to St. X who made it to the Div. 1 state finals.

And when they played in the NCH gym (your average old small HS gym), it was SRO and they turned away mobs. Everyone wants to see OJ and company. They almost have to play in bigger gyms.

This summer, OJ and Bill Walker played in San Diego at the International Sports Invitational and played on different teams. Walker's team beat Mayo's in the finals. Jeez.

A few years back, Mason HS girls had a powerhouse team and they did all the elite tourneys in Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Florida plus a tough non-league schedule. Once they returned to earth, they returned to playing Little Miami and Turpin.
