Good question. I can't help but wonder if John Allen has any impact on whether these candidates are interested in the Reds. I know Castellini has reorganized the FO so that baseball operations report directly to him...but nonetheless...Allen is still around and will have an impact on what they can and cannot do as GM's. There is also always the possibility that RCast will put baseball operations back under Allen at some point.
