Great article Ed! Even got me a bit misty and all that.
You brought back memories of my mom coming down to Columbus by herself to watch some Ohio State bball games with me. In my home country (Putnam Co) basketball is huge anyway, but my Mom would try to get to as many home Ohio State games as she could when I was there. I kept the shot chart (or other stats) for Gary Williams when he was our coach, and one year was allowed to use one of Perry Carter's parent's season tickets for my Mom when ever they couldn't make the trip.
I just thought it was really neat that did that 2+ hour drive by herself just to see her son sitting there on the sideline.
Your Mom and your family have my very best wishes that this latest ailment is cured quickly and she can get back to one of the things she obviously does so very well - being a Mom (MVP) to you.
