If Reggie was getting shut out as part of the ownership group with the deepest pockets that was also the choice of the incumbent ownership, he might have a case. I assume he's not either or both of those things.
Think about the Reds most recent ownership change. The groups who lost out were not both of those things, either. Ownership changes are about making good business decisions.
I like and respect Reggie Jackson, but I don't think he's entitled to a free pass at baseball ownership.
I don't like or respect Bud Selig, but I don't think he's deliberately holding the door to ownership shut for Reggie.
