By the time Rolen would be game ready, the season would be over.

I think just having his leadership around would be a major help, I was on board with bringing him back from the get go in a reduced role of course. I think this season illustrates how important it is to have a true leader in the club house and the Reds lost their 2 best guys in Rolen and Cairo.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.
Leadership or some sort of it needs to come from a player instead of a coach, Cairo is management not "one of the guys".

Do I want Rolen back?
Have the Cards sign him, that will help us more.

I thought this was a gag thread, and I almost did!
I doubt Rolen would come back as a bench player.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.
Bring him back as a coach.
