Can you imagine the hubris involved in a coach telling Barry Larkin's son that whoever taught him to hit taught him the wrong way?

Yeah, that was my thought. I don't doubt that he had a coach who tried to reteach him, but the whole "whoever taught you how to hit..." wreaks of embellishment to me. I can't imagine any coach pitch coach or 6 or 7 year olds would say that to the son of a major leaguer.

I completely agree. There was probably some suggested changes and more likely it was the Larkins who were incredulous even at mere suggestion and it grew from threre, but thats purely speculation.

Would still be cool, for selfish reasons, to see the kid in a baseball uni.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

I've seen Larkin play a good amount over the past two years and he is one of the top three point guards in the ACC. I always kinda pull for him individually when he's not playing NC State.

He would have looked good in Xavier blue with his uncle calling his games.
