I've ever had a problem on PS3 or on Roku. It can be a bit spotty on my Galaxy Nexus, but not any more than on my old iPhone.

Directv is lowering their MLB package price to $199. It is like a 5 year low.

    You can't beat that.

For whatever reason, I find it has much better quality/reliability on my laptop than my PS3, both over my home wifi.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Unless they can renew me at a bargain basement price I won't be renewing. My renewal price with MLBTV was $124.95 and now that it looks like I can view games with my Kindle Fire, it just makes it that much easier to cancel. This is a trial year for me using MLBTV though. If I have too many glitches with it I will go back to the TV EI package.

I did that last year. And let me tell you, this year was a no brainer for me. MLB TV all the way. I love essentially having all the games dvr'd. If your Internet speed is high enough, it's by far the best sports package available IMO. I love how on the PS 3 you can get radio audio feeds or the park audio is awesome as well (no announcers).

Also, no digital stat lines or box score info either on the screen. Just really strange. It would make a great add-on to the regular broadcast, but horrible as a substitution.

    This was last year btw.
Yeah it was annoying. I believe that's all they could show since Fox had the broadcast rights so MLB couldn't show the Fox feed.

I use MLBTV and love it. I live in NYC so I get to see every Reds game until they play the Mets. I would warn people that live in Ohio about getting MLB TV since you'll be blacked out most of the time if you live near Cincy.

    Re: MLBTV Questions

I've subscribed to MLB.TV for the last few (at least 3, I forget how many) years and have watched primarily on my PS3 but also on my Android device and PC. While, with the plethora of devices available to watch on and from anywhere was nice.... I'm switching to DirecTV this year.

    A few reasons.

1.) Sporadic game quality and loss of signal issues.
2.) Opening day and first two weeks of season glitches and server overloads
3.) I tend to stay a few innings behind when I watch the games, so I can fast-forward and in turn turn a 3 hour game into a 1 hour game. Too many times was I burned by MLB.TV screwing up the 9th inning. I would get that far and it just wouldn't work and I would need to wait until 90 minutes after the game until the archived game was available. Annoying.

All in all, IMO paying the extra $70 will be money well spent for the sake of quality.
