Just an FYI, people around here don't much care for bleacherreport. i think their articles are fun to read but to paraphrase, many on here say, "Bleacherreport writers are a bunch of bums/losers in their mom's basement."

I have a major problem with 1973 Jack Billingham and 2012 Johnny Cueto being picked over 2010 Joey Votto and 1962 Frank Robinson.

Neither belong in any discussion of greatest seasons in Red history.

    Ridiculously poor list.

They think Billinghams 1973 season was superior to Bench's 72' & Rose's 73' MVP season.

That article just wasted five minutes of my life.

Why is Bench's 1972 season even being discussed as being better than his amazing 1970 season?

George Foster just turned 64. I think he still has some good years left in him.

I refered to Bench's 72' season because they had it listed as “honorable mention“ while for some insane reason Billinghams very good but hardly MVP caliber 73' season was rated as superior to Bench and ironically Rose and his 1973 MVP season. I guess these geniuses thought Billingham was more worthy of the MVP award in 73 than Rose was.

Blearcherreport is what we call in the business as a "ad machine"

They generate numerous stories of limited quality and deliver it in a way that demands the User click their way through "lists" each click displays unique ad content and the site owner generates revenue

Short on substance that site is and long on Internet smarts

Anyone else see that CNN now uses Bleacher Report as their main sports site? Craziness. Yet very much a harbinger of where mainstream sports journalism -- heck, all mainstream journalism -- is headed these days: Lists and bullet points.

His WAR in 1972 was 10.2 vs. 8.7 in 1970 according to Fangraphs.

Baseball Reference has it as 8.5 to 7.1.

That's possibly one of the reasons.

Where is Jim Maloney on the list?
