Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti said Thursday that he has no plans to reach out to free agent Scott Rolen.
Some have speculated that the Dodgers could reach out to Rolen now that Hanley Ramirez (thumb) will be out until late-May, but they plan to move ahead with internal options. As of now, Luis Cruz is likely to fill in at shortstop while Juan Uribe, Nick Punto and Jerry Hairston, Jr. will alternate at third base. Dee Gordon could also be an option at shortstop. "I have just been more than a little suspect of all the trades since the Willy (Scott Williamson) cash grab. That one left such a bad taste in my mouth that even a 1985 Dom Pérignon couldn't cleanse it." -- Creek14
