Red Raindog (02-12-2013)
Yep, I breathed a sigh of relief when the Reds didn't sign him.
I wish him well, but it was just too risky.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob
Nov. 13, 2007: One of the greatest days in Reds history: John Allen gets the boot!
I know he had a few bad outings late in the year, but I'm really surprised that the Angels are so jittery about handing the closer reigns to Frieri. That guy is filthy, and I'd have much more confidence in him than a post-surgery Madson.
Stick to your guns.
Walt knows what hes doing
I was interested in re-signing him, but my perspective has changed on post-injury signings. On the "Sign Brian Wilson" thread I stated as much. Seems like a team rehabs the guy and then he goes elsewhere. And they usually don't give you much in that rehab season anyway. It's not worth it.
