I just assumed that Will was planning a trip to Latvia.

    Brett,

Are you still interested in learning Latin? I'd be willing to give you one-on-one tutoring if you'd like. I just got back from studying at the Academia Vivarium Novum in Rome (http://vivariumnovum.net/en) and am now pretty proficient with the language. Send me a message if you're interested. Go Redlegs tonight!

thanks for the offer. Let me think about it.

I was using some language software & lately my Latin study has fallen by the wayside. I just have too much on my plate & the non essentials have gotten cut.

[QUOTE=marcshoe;2805945]Go to where it is spoken in everyday life and immerse yourself in the language.

I don't know what's so hard about learning Latin. There are two major groups who speak Latin: pigs and dead people. I think we're all smarter than both.

It's like a kid in my mythology class said when I asked him why he'd signed up since he hated the subject. "I just figured that this stuff's really old, so it must be easy, because people didn't know as much back then."

    Latin is a dead language,
    Dead as dead can be.
    First it killed the Romans
    now it's killing me.

That is the only "latin" I remember

I once converted to Latvian Orthodox just for the jokes....there weren't as many jokes as you might think. I should have gone with Judaism instead.
