Projecting Adam Dunn ... on the silver screen?

As a film historian who frequents RedsZone, I get excited whenever my two passions overlap in any way. Adam's not still on the Reds, but I loved reading this story about his role in the new movie Dallas Buyer's Club, where he has a non-speaking role as a bartender alongside Matthew McConaughey, who plays a man dying of HIV/AIDS.

Here's Dunn on the experience. Good to see he's still grounded now that he's a celebrity:

"To see those guys in action, that was probably the coolest part of it," Dunn said. "To see how intense, how in-character they are 24-7. To be a good actor, I guess that's what it takes, so I'll never be a good actor."

Well, since the part did not have any speaking, I hope it had walking.

( not an insult to Dunn, he truly had a great skill at that. )

Nice to see that he's having fun. thanks for posting the link.
Thank you Walt and Bob for going for it in 2010-2014!

Touchť! Yeah, sorry, a bit of a silly post. I'm just a sucker for Reds appearances in entertainment outside of MLB. I'm still waiting for a Votto sitcom cameo to happen.

Do Fox Animated sitcom cameos count?

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

Sort of. But you'll admit, I'm sure, that a live action appearance would take the cake...

I could see Dunn as Mongo in a remake of Blazing Saddles
I was in the ORG once, best 6 months of my life.
