Are any of you following this? I must sheepishly admit that I am. It involves two things that I despise: liars and murder.
That being said, I also have an open mind and I'm willing to consider all scenarios.
It goes without saying that this incident involved a relationship between two people that was based on nothing more than hot and heavy sex and that Jodi lied about it many, many times before getting to this point. But that aside, I want to look at the facts of the killing itself. Is Jodi's latest story even plausable? I say no. I don't see any possible way it could have happened the way she's describing. For instance, if she got the gun in the closet, how did the killing take place in the bathroom? Seems to me that the only way it could have happened there is if she pointed it at him and walked (cornered) him there; in which case, she was the aggressor. If she was threatened then why didn't she grab the gun and head out the door t drive away?
With all the Press coverage and all the questions being asked in this I still have a few questions I'd like to hear her answer:
1) Why did you even take a picture of the crime scene? Why did you throw the camera in the washing machine rather than throw it away like you did with the gun?
2) Why did you tell the detective that Travis didn't own a gun?
3) How did you get from the closet back to the bathroom?
Having said all that, I'd like to see her sentenced to something close to life in prison but not the death penalty. I think the death penalty should be reserved for the most dangerous among us like serial killers and should be exceedingly rare.
I think her best shot at beating this would have been a temporary insanity defense where she admits that it was a crime of passion.
If anyone thinks her story could be an accurate depiction of what really happened, I'd like to hear your point of view
