Pedro Diaz seems a little too hittable to me, considering he is at the lowest of minor league levels. A solid fastball and solid control should lead to better numbers down there, IMO. Does he have any developing off-speed pitches?

He isn't a high upside guy. Not chump meat or anything, but no one envisions him ever being a #2 type of pitcher.

How can a guy who led the Cape Cod league in Ks and sported a 9.36 K/9 in Billings not have ceiling of a #2? Is it because his off-speed stuff does not project well? I know he doesn't have a truly "plus" fastball, but could he be a Cingrani-like pitcher? A guy who was never thought to have too much upside, but kept on producing? Obviously, Cingrani is a much higher regarded prospect because he has done it much more frequently, and better at higher levels and is left-handed, but couldn't Moscot morph into that kind of prospect?

How could Mike Leake post Stephen Strasburg like numbers in college? Things happen.

I mean sure, Moscot could morph into a Cingrani like prospect, but it isn't expected and even still, you are not going to hear many people saying Cingrani is a #2 pitcher in the future. Plenty of people out there still think Cingrani winds up in the bullpen.

I'm starting a bandwagon on Devin Lohman. I'm not voting for him yet. But he's one of those prospects whose name gives rise to constant negativity around here.

I think the guy is going to be a major leaguer. Maybe not a starter. I've read that he plays pretty good shortstop and has some hitting ability.

Lohman can take a walk has a good OBP most seasons. Has some power too.

So when we get past the next couple of guys, I'm going to start pushing for a Lohman vote.

I place a much higher premium on starting pitching prospects over reliever prospects. Furthermore, Moscot has a much better pitcher's frame and looks like he would have more overall upside. I like Moscot as a prospect because not only does he have good statistics (albeit in a small sample size), but he has the pitcher's frame, a fourth round pedigree and decent stuff.

I like having Manno around, but I don't think he has the same potential impact in the bigs that Moscot has.
