    Reds Helmet Cart Photos

I was hoping some one here could help me find photos of the Reds Helmet Cart from the early 1970's.
If you could send me links or pictures I'd really appreciate it.
Also if anyone can remember when they might have seen the cart being used I'd appreciate it also.
    Thanks

This was the golf cart that looked like a baseball with a hat on it and had two bats holding up the hat.

To be honest with you I don't ever remember them using a cart. It's been a long time ago so maybe they did. The bullpens were so close to the field at Riverfront it really would have been the epitome of laziness if they did.

I did a google image search and found nothing BTW.

That was the only picture I could find online also.
Any idea what year that might of been or who is standing around the cart.
It doesn't look like Riverfront either.
I sent an email to an address on the Korky website and they replied that it was a Cushman electric cart and that he thought it was a 70'-71' Cushman.
Any chance they could have used it the last year at Crosley?

That's not Crosley or Riverfront. The mystery continues.

I was thinking JFK Stadium but the Senators played in the American League. Maybe Jack Murphy Stadium? (San Diego)

Don't believe it's Jack Murphy Stadium. They had high outfield walls. It could be RFK Stadium. The 1969 All Star game was played there. It does sorta resemble it.

Here were the Reds 1969 All-Stars:

1969 Johnny Bench (C), Lee May (1B), Tony Perez (3B), Pete Rose (OF)

Why would the Reds cart be in somebody else's park? Unless it was an all star game, maybe?

    Re: Reds Helmet Cart Photos

I was hoping some one might be able to find pictures in old programs or personal photos to determine when it might have been used. I was told that the Reds could not find any pictures of it in their archives.
Thanks so far for the help.
Keep me in mind if you are flipping through any old literature and see it.
I have to check with my brother in law as his wife said he saw it driving in the background during a Sparky interview on some video.

I'm guessing the guy on the far right of the cart (16) would be Denis Menke? If so, it would date this picture in 1972. (He switched to 11 the following season, his only two in Cincinnati).

I think #16 is Jimmy Stewart later traded to Houston in May/ Morgan deal.

    Re: Reds Helmet Cart Photos

I'm pretty sure that Reds photo is from 1970, Memorial Stadium in Baltimore for the WS. Don Gullett is second from the left. I've tried to attach a photo of Pittsburgh and Baltimore bullpen carts which were used in the 1971 WS in Baltimore, but it says upload failed.

    Here is a link instead.
