2013 SABR Player Development Panel podcast

I am listening to it right now. It is just over an hour long, but so far it has been fantastic. I highly suggest going to the link and giving it a listen.

    Thanks for posting this Doug.

I was kind of surprised with how little was being provided by the clubs for pre and post game meals and other nutritional resources. With the amount of bonus money and time being invested in player development it would seem to be a given that you'd spend the pittance to make sure they have access to nutritional food rather than asking the players to each kick in a few bucks to cover the post game spread.

Particularly in the lower levels you're dealing with really young guys, many of whom are away from home for the first time, it would seem like a great opportunity to get guys used to eating well and providing the right supplements rather than letting them develop bad habits.

Intuitively it would seem to be a no-brainer that wouldn't cost much and would pay for itself many times over.
