I agree with that as well.

No way did cutting down nets have any long term effects on IU. If a team was that lightweight mentally, there's no chance they were championship material anyway. Syracuse's physicality and absolute refusal to give them anything easy around the rim was it. Not some ceremonial act from 3 weeks ago.

I agree 100 % with the TV comments last night on the reviewing in the final seconds. Taking so much time over a fraction of a second, while getting it exact, rewards the team with ball an extra timeout.
In Marquette's first tourney game against Davidson, they were out of timeouts but when Davidsoon threw the ball out, the officials took 3-4 minutes reviewing and Marquette scores on last second play.
It almost bit Michigan last night too but Kansas missed.

I bet not only did Carter-Williams house not burn down, he never even had a house to burn down.

I haven't watched the whole game but it doesn't seem like Marquette looks any better against that zone than IU did, I'm pretty surprised by that.

In non NCAA tournament news, Steve Alford to UCLA.

    Talk about a lackluster hire.

I believe I heard it said that all 4 of Syracuse's opponents thus far have shot their lowest FG percentage of the year. That's pretty incredible.

Really? They weren't getting the guys they really wanted. I think they did about as good as possible with Alford.

At some point you have to hit a few outside shots

I live in Wichita (moved from Boston a couple of years ago). This town may burn down tonight. Unbelievable. As a Xavier alum who detests Thad Matta, tonight was a nice double-whammy!

Yes, this is ludicrous. Arizona got the same benefit in Thursday's game after Ross made his shot. All over a tenth of a second? At least make the players stay on the floor while they quickly review.
