I've given up on the idea. For all the grief that Dusty has taken on this matter, I think it's really Chapman who doesn't want to start, and I think he'll actively oppose it.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

And just for the record I don't believe either Dusty or Aroldis should take any crap for it, if anyone the front office is to blame but I just think it turned out the way it was going to anyway.

I agree. Chapman doesn't seem to want to start.
Honestly though, with Cingrani being able to step in for injuries and Leake having such a good year, this couldn't possibly have worked out better.

This isn't a "I told you so" to the people that wanted Chapman to start, just saying it worked out perfectly. No way, IMO Chapman would've given us the production Leake has so far this year (Innings, ERA, Quality starts). I'm glad we don't have to deal with Chapman's growing pains this year... Choo and Arroyo are both probably gone after this season.. Glad they went "all in" this year.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob
