Re: 2013 Redszone NFL Mock Draft Thread

With the 28th overall pick in the 2013 draft, the Denver Broncos select:

    DESMOND TRUFONT, CB, WASHINGTON

Desmond Trufant had a very strong workout at Washington's Pro Day. Our team has been looking for impact corners and as the best remaining one on this board, we feel that Desmond is a good fit for our team. He's got the speed, the athletic ability, the tackling skills, and the drive to be great that we're looking for in our organization. We are looking forward to him making an impact for us sooner rather than later.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

With the 29th pick in the draft, the Patriots select Matt Elam (S), Florida. The patriots have been looking for some help in the secondary and in our eyes, Elam was the best secondary player left on the board.

The patriots also have a long relationship of drafting Florida players who have panned out including Aaron Hernandez and Brandon Spikes. We expect more greatness out of Elam to help us get to Super Bowl XLVIII.

The Patriots are after Urban Meyer guys, because he and Belicheck are on a similar wavelength. That Florida pipeline may have moved to Columbus.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.

Falcs need a pash rush. Atlanta selects Margus Hunt, DE, SMU. Loads of potential.

    Go Atlanta.

True, but Elam was still a Meyer recruit and part of one of the great defenses of the past few years.

WITH the 32nd pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens select...........

    Tank Carradine, DT, FSU

We were thinking Manti Teo or Keenan Allen here, but with both gone, we went BPA and Carradine is certainly that. A strong, disruptive, athletic force on the DL, and no team can ever have too many of those guys.

The Jags (courtesy of me) have learned what people have been saying..... There's a lot of defensive line help out there. Good talent still to be had. But with as many holes as the Jags have they can't afford the luxury of BAP.

To address a major weakness in the secondary we reach a little for Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State.
