Re: Dibble fired as a High School Coach

    The article's headline reads:

Rob Dibble’s high school baseball head coaching career lasted just 10 games, because his team’s ERA was above 5
So who says that is the reason for his firing? Did I miss that in the short article or just another case of bad journalism?

Small market fan... always hoping, but never expecting.

I heard his team lost a game and he threw a ball into the CF stands and hit a parent.

or when an opponent lays down a bunt, he has instructed his players to throw the ball directly into the batter-runner's legs...

Yahoo is notorious for misleading headlines. Reading the article, I get the idea that his saying he's gone at the end of the season was a contributing factor. His temperament also likely had something to do with it.

Rob Dibble has become the Brian Clough of high school baseball.
    He'll probably be all right.

Hey! We won two championships in the 90s. How did I miss that.
    The losing stops later.

Known best as one of the Nasty Boys out of the bullpen for the two-time World Series Cincinnati Reds in the 1990s, Dibble
Some facts are harder to look up than others, apparently.

/Reds could have won in 1994
“It was miraculous. It was almost no trick at all, he saw, to turn vice into virtue and slander into truth, impotence into abstinence, arrogance into humility, plunder into philanthropy, thievery into honor, blasphemy into wisdom, brutality into patriotism, and sadism into justice... It merely required no character.”

Re: Dibble fired as a High School Coach

The article did say he was ejected from a game on March 13th. I question the wisdom of any high school who would hire Dibble to do anything. He's a train wreck that just waiting to happen over and over again.
