    It is amazing all the extensions franchise players have agreed on. Really is a good time to be a fan I think. No more players moving all over the place. Also great time to be a mid market team. Not so great for the Yankees old way of doing things. No longer can they just wait for best players to become free agents.

    With this contract you would have to imagine his days at C are numbered.

    I am glad to see some stability when it comes to star players staying with one team. It is a good thing for baseball and will help build more legitimate rivalries.

    One of the national baseball writers was on the radio earlier this week talking about Chapman, but used Buster Posey as an example in that someone asked why Posey hasn't been moved to first base already and the answer was that Buster has stated he wants to catch for a few more years and that he is good back there, so you couple the two and the Giants are going to leave him there for the time being. So, it seems that at least over the next few years we will still see Posey behind the dish for 60% of his starts I would imagine.

    Plus when the NL adopts the DH, he can slide in there :P
