    Love that outfield.

Looks like Mattair is moving to first base.

So the rotation, I guess, would be Rogers, Smith, Crabbe, Renken, and Pino (assuming that Lotzkar is indeed moving to the pen)?

Pino is 29. So is Ray Chang.

The bullpen could/should be a strength, with Hayes, Partch, Manno, Lotzkar, Van Mil, etc.

All in all, not bad. Not quite as compelling as Dayton's roster, but not bad.

Mattair played some first last year in order to get both he and Vidal in the lineup together early in the year. Both are good defenders at third, so it will be interesting to see how that playing time works out with the DH spot being open at times.

The more I look at it, you've really got to like that lineup. Something on the order of (with a DH):

    LaMarre (and sometimes Bowe)
    Smith
    Mattair
    Lutz
    Selsky
    Vidal
    Lohman
    Greene
    Barnhart

This team could win its share of games. Lamarre, Lohman, Greene, Barnhart should defend well up the middle.

Color me underwhelmed. I see this as about a .500 ball club.

    Starters
    Lotzkar - 5.21 ERA
    Crabbe - 4.90 ERA
    Renken - 5.93 ERA at High A
Dennick - 4.62 ERA in AA last year
Pino - 3.56 ERA in AA last year.

The last 2 are Rule 5 pick and minor league FA

C - Barhardt who hasn't shown he can hit AA yet
Infield - Decent but not star studded
Of - A lot depends on whether Lamarre is any good and was held back by injuries. And whether Selsky can handle AA

    Like I said... I see .500

Lotzkar won't start. Rogers is starting.

The team has a chance to be pretty good on offense. Outside of Rogers, that rotation doesn't do much for me.

Honestly, not really that impressed. I'm looking at it more in terms of guys who could make a legit impact at the MLB level. The only one I could see being an above average regular player for Cincy is Lutz, and maybe Vidal, and that's if everthing breaks right.

The rotation, ugh, let's just say you better hope that Corcino or Cingrani work, or you're waiting for Stephenson for any young help for the Reds down the line.

This staff is one I'm hoping can muster some relief prospects -- Rogers being the only one with an outside chance to start as he advances.

Like the lineup. Let's see what Deshields can go with a bunch of older, polished guys who can smell the majors.

Not sure if this team or Bakersfield is the red-headed stepchild of the organization. I'm leaning toward this team as I'm not sure there's a single future every day major league player (or SP) on the roster.
    I'm not a system player. I am a system.

According to the Wahoos' website, Josh Smith will be in the bullpen. Ryan Dennick is in the rotation.

Of course Dennick is now in AAA with the Ondrusek move, so that means very little. My guess is Smith moves to the rotation for now.

Where did you see that? Dennick was not on the roster announced this morning.

    That's... surprising.

Rogers, Dennick, Pino, Crabbe, and Renken?

    Eww.

I like Rogers, but the rest of the that rotation looks awful.

He wasn't on the email I got from the Bats this morning either, but he certainly went to the Bats roster on Milb.com. Ondrusek pushed someone out from the original Pensacola roster which came out before the big league roster was finished. Dennick was on that roster. Now he shows up on the Bats roster page, where he wasn't before.
