Well, in that case... Again, ewww.

That's as poor a pitching rotation as there is, IMO, in minor league baseball.

Pelican batters will have to win on their own account, four days out of five.

Fortunately, they might just do so. If they can go .500 until some of the Bakersfield pitchers arrive at the halfway part of the season, they could be interesting.

IMO, Mattair, Selsky, and Lutz will split 1B duties, while Mattair and Vidal play the hot corner. Between the five of them (and Bryson Smith), they'll also keeping the DH spot warm.

I suspect the lineup will looks a little like this:

    LaMarre/ B. Smith OF
    Bowe/ B. Smith OF
    Selsky RF/ 1B/ DH/ LF
    Lutz LF/ 1B/ DH
    Mattair 1B/ DH/ 3B
    Vidal 3B/ DH
    Greene 2B/ SS/ UT
    Lohman SS/ 2B
    Barnhart C

Ten guys on that list could see time with the Reds. That's incredible.

Unfortunately, none of them profile as much more than bench ballast. (That, too, is incredible.)

Still, you've got four guys with 25 HR potential and a couple with 50 SB potential. As always, OBP is key.

there is always someone on roster that does something in the majors. Mobile had some terrible teams and players like Clay Hensley at least will be remembered for something.
