I like Cozart in the #7 slot.. He's got some pop.. Hopefully he can drive in Frasier and Bruce over the course of the year.

Hannigan has really thrived in the #8 slot, and is valuable there.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

You can't help but get excited about that lineup. 1-8 all have 15-20+ HR potential and Choo and his career .381 OBP will be awesome hitting in front of Votto after what we've gone through the last few years.

From a pitching standpoint I wouldn't throw Josh Hamilton a ball in the strike zone until he walks 2 times.

Can't believe it is finally here. So excited for a fresh start after the way last season ended.

I'm kinda curious if Hamilton will get any sort of ovation for his first at bat

Is it too early to declare this a must-win game?

Hamilton was cheered during pregame introductions.

Hamilton said people came up to him in hotel & said they wish he was still with #Reds. His reply: "Then why'd you trade me?"

Apparently Josh's babysitters have him under the impression that fans make trades.

I can see why he'd have that reaction.
Josh was the feel good story of the year.. then as soon as he was traded, many (not all) fans suddenly decided he was a ticking timebomb that was going to relapse, have a serious injury, etc, etc.
In other words, plenty of fans turned on him when he was traded for a handful of magic beans (Volquez).

At opening day 2006 they had a B2 bomber fly over the stadium, now it's just three random small jets, kinda in formation...
