    He lost this one.
or Dusty could have realized he shouldn't be out there throwing almost 50 pitches. Yet when it gets to extras Dusty plays for the game to go 16 or 17 innings, and used his pitching accordingly. Of course when those games roll around the Reds end up getting beat by position player pitching.

What? No blame for the Great Jay Bruce and his 4 K's. How many men did he leave on base? It was like 8 at one time in the game.

I don't see a whole lot of if, ands, or buts in this one. They stunk out loud at the plate. 3 for 42. 3 for freaking 42. 1 of those was a bloop, and another one a seeing eye grounder.

Bruce with 2 strikes = helpless. I was hoping (still hoping) that Bruce could improve to the point of not being basically an automatice out in that situation. Offensively, Choo, Phillips and Votto are going to need some help from somewhere.

If you can't score more than a run in 13 innings at home, I refuse to blame any particular pitcher I suppose, or Dusty's management of them.

    Bruce is Mr. No-Clutch.

This is the straight up dumbest and worst post in the thread.

Let it go. It's not even a good idea.

Brutal first three series this year, but replacing Ludwick with Heisey is just wrong, even if he is the only choice. He's a hot mess at the plate most of the time. Hoover just choked when it mattered with the HBP and running the count full. Just one game, and I don't know what's going to happen next, but these first three series might leave us in a 2-6 hole to begin the season.

Simply because you disagree with it does not make it dumb and worst.

I thought making Chapman a starter was a dumb idea and had to keep reading excessive posts about it.

I will continue to lobby for Hoover to get a chance to start again. And continue to point out how good Chapman is at Closing and relieving.

    Oh no, we suck.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
