Bases Loaded and one out in a 2-2 game and Ben Revere hits a ball right to second on the SS side and they turn two on the fast runner with ease, LOL Cardinals Baseball! The Phillies just can't do anything right, its so bad in the first they score 2 and have Utley on 2nd with one out and he thinks there's 2 outs and he busts it home on a simple pop into LF for a double play.
LOL as I type this Jay hits a weak chopper the pitcher somehow can't field and then Utley comes in a throws it away allowing Jay to get to second. Cards fans get upset when I call them lucky but I just can't see how anyone can honestly dispute it watching them play its comical how teams go out of their way to blow games.

After the error puts Jay at 2nd, the Cardinals bunt him to third and Philly finds a way to walk Beltran after getting ahead 0-2. They then bring in Chad Durbin who's allowed all 7 Inherited runners to score and he promptly gives up a single off the SS glove to give the Cardinals a 3-2 lead.
I guess its a positive for Durbin who managed not to let both Inherited runners score.
Allen Craig with RISP is hitting .421 or 8 hits and without RISP he's at .139 with 5 hits in 36 AB and one of his 5 hits without RISP came when the RF fell down on that routine FB in game one.
Let the cards use up their luck in April ... everything won't go their way all year.
Our old pal Laynce Nix just drove in the tying run for the Phils. Yayy!

Philadelphia finally got into their pen and tied things up at 3 with Salas allowing an Inherited runner to score from first on a double, but the Phils godawful fundamentals continue as they fail to find a way to get the runner over and in from second with no outs and the 1-2-3 spots of the order up.
Philadelphia has yet to hit a HR at Citizens Bank Park in this 4 game set and have allowed five.

About damn time, Ben Revere finally comes up with a big hit and give the Phillies the 4-3 lead and Erik Kratz unloads for the first HR of the series for them to make it 7-3!
The Cards took Boggs out of the closers role, as the pressure of closing turns him into crud. So, in his new set up role, he promptly give up 4 runs and sees his ERA rise to 12.46.
It's still a small sample size, and Boggs is too good for this to last all year. But it's fun to watch.
And the Reds are back in first.

Maybe I'm stupid but nobody in the central scares me.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.
The Reds back into first place by a half game.
We need to keep on beating these bottom-feeders at home and maybe Dan Haren will not suck for the Nats tomorrow and possibly beat his old team for us. With Ryan Zimmerman out hopefully Anthony Rendon makes a Harper like impact in his home debut. With the Nats getting blanked on 4 hits today and losing 6 of 9 with a pair of the wins in Miami they are due for an uptick so lets hope the do it vs the Cards and not us who head there for 4 games after the Cards do.
After this Cubs series we will have played 16 home games with most of them against poor teams while St Louis has played just 6 so we need to build up a lead to show for it as we head out for 10 afterwards and the first 7 are in DC and back to St Louis yet again.
