Excellent play just now to prevent a Cardinals runner
I left the house and when I returned Gast was out, but had only gave up 2 runs. What happened?

Hah, no idea. I only just started watching myself. Easy enough to check, though... Looks like the Dodgers got one in the fifth on a homer and another in the sixth on an error and a double.

Shoulder tightness. The severity of which is unknown, but not a good sign.

Dodgers win 5-3 and the Reds are now only half a game back.

Good chance to move back in first tomorrow with Cardinals facing Kershaw.

My guess is that if it were the Dodgers that went up four runs on the Cardinals, he'd not be posting any scores. Sure didn't hear a peep from him tonight.

Exactly. Right after Boss locked that thread, I noticed that spirit's avatar disappeared. I'm assuming he got a temporary ban.

Harper and Trout get a lot of attention, and rightfully so, but Manny Machado should be discussed more as well. Leading the league in doubles and he just hit another.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."
