Bucs come right back 9-4. The Central is TOUGH (Thom Brenneman dramatic emphasis).

Card reliever Maness is rudely greeted. Another solo blast. Reds will pick up a game tonite.

Mets 3 outs away from pulling Redlegs back to 2.5 games.

And Cards go down without a whimper. Magic number stays at 95.

That was a horrible, pathetic performance by the Cardinals tonight. They could easily lose 2 of 3 to the Mets with Harvey going tomorrow.

The Mets announcers were doubting whether tomorrow's game will be played. I hope they're wrong, I got tickets.

I know the Cardinals seem unbeatable right now but the Reds are aren't doing too bad either and are only 2 1/2 games back after a difficult week of baseball. I still feel confident that Redszone's favorite team will celebrate a second consecutive division championship leaving the hated team from St. Louis to fight it out in a one game playoff.

The Reds have gained a game and a half since Sunday's debacle.

And Met fans probably think the same thing about Wainwright.

There is NO TEAM above .500 for the last 10 games in the NL East. Only 1 in the Central @ 6-4. There are only 3 teams in the NL below .500 in the last 10. Cubs, Mets and Giants. There is no team 7-3 or better in any division.

    What does all this mean?

Puig did not start for the Giants as his right shoulder was injured in the brawl. Giants lose in 12 to the tough AZ Snakes. Puig PH late in the game, got a hit and made a good throw from the OF. That extra 3 hr rest must have done the trick.

He's a Dodger not a Giant. What an insult. Good thing this is a Reds board and no one really cares.

Of course it will rain when Harvey's pitching...finally...against the Mets. The Baseball Gods do not want to upset and disrupt the best team and organization on earth.

What, no confidence in your Ace?

You gotta think any game started by Waino has gotta be a good chance, even with Harvey.

That's what I get for posting at 3 in the morning.

The Cards at Mets showdown may start on time as the rain predicted in NY has stopped. The forecast was for rain all morn and afternoon. Hopefully they get in 5 innings before the sky reopens.
