Astros scored 16 tonight on 22 hits. 16 runs! 22 hits!

    Baseball! It's weird.

Yonder Alonso played second and third base last night apparently.

They ran out of bench players so they had to make due with switching him and Gyorko back and forth between third and second depending on the batter. They had Kotsay at first.

Carlos Quinton just charged the mound against Zack Greinke. Both were ejected, benches were cleared. Jerry Hairston Jr. and Yonder Alonso were also very involved in the fighting/arguing.

Man, I tell ya, Greinke took that shot from Quentin like a champ. Better hope that shoulder's okay.

It was weird, a football hit rather than the normal wild, flailing punches thrown. Not sure if i've really seen that.

Edit: On further inspection, he led with his left shoulder. Pretty clever.

That was dumb of Quentin. You lead the league in HBP 2 years running and you get red because you get hit in a one run game and you dove into it to boot? These two teams play again next week. If Greinke is hurt someone from SD is getting smoked. Might not be right but it will happen.

Holy cow that is big. Real big. That could have a tangible effect on the Wild Card race, gives the Reds a little boost.

Greinke has hit him 3 times now. Though the last time was in 2009. Apparently Greinke said something to him.

Of course, now we are hearing Quintin and Matt Kemp got into it after the game either in the tunnel or near the parking lot.

Nats are doing their best to repeat game 5 of the LDS last year. Same reliever, Storen, blowing the save like he did against St Louis (was at that game and will never forget it). In the 9th. Tied 4-4 now bottom of the 9th. After a stellar 7 innings from Ross Detwiler holding a 4 and 3 run lead until the bullpen came in in the 8th. Sheesh.
Reds & Nats, 2013 LCS. Take2 (9/13) Reds but no Nats

Here's something you don't see very often. Triple play turned by the yanks.
