I'd call Loria and tell him you want to help him with his fire sale.

    H-Rod anyone?

IF Only H-Rod would not make Willie Greene look like Rolen on D....I would love to have him up there at 3B.

The issue is..... BP back hitting 4th? It just will not die....even when they do not want him to hit 4th. Now they are stuck with it again beacuse Ludwig cannot slide with his feet first. Cozart now batting 2nd?? I am a little bit down after all this. I kniw it is one game...but the thought of Cozart back hitting 2nd is terrible.

Yeah, I'm with you. I know it's only 1 game. But the idea of the lineup going back to what it was last season with BP batting inappropriately 4th and Cozart batting 2nd, is just depressing, considering the moves to improve the offense.

I would absolutely not bring Rolen back. Third base belongs to Frazier, he's earned it. Let Xavier Paul take the everyday LF role until Ludwick can return. Let Frazier hit fourth.

From what I have gathered on this, assuming he truly has a dislocated shoulder the severity can have a pretty wide window of outcomes.

Here is a very rudimentary write up on the injury as it related to Jacoby Ellsbury last year.

I'd be surprised if it weren't Choo, Heisey, Votto, Phillips, Bruce, Frazier, Cozart, catcher.

I've been unhappy with Heisey ever since his last effort to play full time when Stubbs got hurt, i think it was fairly early last season. Heisey is an overly aggressive batter IMO. Swings very hard at almost everything.

Still, there really isn't any other choice, so I'm hoping Chris is more successful this time around.

Ugh. It seems like the best case scenerio is 6 weeks. But shoulders are very tricky, and this could potentially end his season.

Some people views Heisey as "not Drew Stubbs", so he has some unseen intrinsic value, that they have talked themselves into over the years.

I'd go with Frazier with Heisey sliding into the 6 hole. Another idea might be

    Choo CF
    Votto 1B
    Phillips 2B
    Bruce RF
    Frazier 3B
    Heisey/Paul LF
    Cozart SS
    Hangian/Mesoraco C

Sure, that's an idea, but it'll never happen regardless if it makes sense or not.

I know. Too bad though. I think it would make the most sense.

I'm worried about how this affects him going forward. Maybe he'll rehab it and bounce right back, but you never know how an injury like that can wear on an already aging player like Ludwick. On a separate note, there's gotta be some Hamilton talk stirring up tomorrow.
