Great first series win against the most talented team in baseball
Awesome finale to the first series with one of the AL's top 3 by any measure. Most of the concern areas came through bigtime-esp Heisey but also great to see young Frazier and Choo get the bats going.
Very stoked for this weekend now--should be a great battle between the two best in the NL. Super excited baseball is BACK and the Reds with it fully!
Reds & Nats, 2013 LCS. Take2 (9/13) Reds but no Nats
Both Hamilton and Pujols had a pedestrian series. Trout's series wasn't much better, nor was Trumbo's.
That's a good sign for Red pitchers. Early yet, yes, but a good sign nonetheless.
Was fun to be at the park for this series. The crowd was subdued today but Chapman brought them to life. The man creates electricity that has rarely been felt.
About what you'd expect from two very good baseball teams, every game was a nail biter. Awesome way to start the year.
I know the defense is going to take a hit, BUT with Choo leading off and Frazier playing full time at 3rd this offense is going to be a lot more balanced and capable of scoring from anywhere in the order.
Think about it Bruce and Votto were a combined 2/17 with no HRs. Ludwick got hurt and they still took 2/3 from the Angels and scored 11 runs in the process.
Lots of possibilities today but:
3. Heisey
2. Choo
And the #1 star:
BP- loved the way he backed up third early on, the incredible gem in the middle of the game , and the way he handled the bullet from Chappie in the ninth. Plus 2 hits. Just liked the way he played today.

Only had my iPhone to watch on, but I was impressed with:
1. Choo. what a difference he makes in this lineup
2. Frazier. Simply gets it. He will miss some pitches, but when he doesn't...
3. Heisey. He can look incompetent at times, but the two hole seems to fit
4. Chapman. Nothing else to say.
Good win in a series I expected us to lose with the Trout-Pujols-Hamilton triumverant. Glad I was wrong. They are human afterall. I look forward to tomorrow.

One thing I learned this series:
This fella Choo can run!
He also has a nice arm!
He seems like a total pro who wants to win.
Nice trade Walt.
The more I watch Choo the more I want him in Cincy long-term. Don't think it can happen, but I have a dream.

Great series between two World Series caliber teams. Big series win, and the Reds could have easily swept it.
Shin-Soo Choo is just fantastic. Please Walt, sign him to a 4 or 5 year extension.
Great pitching by the Reds through the whole series.
The older I get - the better I was
and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)
